Old photos, posters, magazines, objects, logos and entertainment materials are not automatically free to use. Things of Old aims to use images and references responsibly.

Image Use

Article images should be one of the following:

Original photos or original illustrations
Public-domain images
Creative Commons images with proper attribution
Licensed images
Images used with permission
Embedded official sources where embedding is allowed

Image Credit Rules

Every article image should include:

Image source
Photographer or creator if known
License type
Credit line
Source URL if applicable
Permission status if applicable

Third-Party Rights

Things of Old does not claim ownership of third-party trademarks, logos, historical brands, photographs, posters, broadcasts, recordings or other copyrighted materials unless stated. Mentioning a brand, object or cultural work is for editorial commentary and identification.

Copyright Concerns

Copyright owners can contact us for correction, removal, attribution updates or permission questions. Please include the page URL, the image or material at issue and proof of ownership or authority where possible.

No Protected Downloads

Do not upload copyrighted songs, movies, full magazine scans, full books, old software, games, ROMs or TV episodes to Things of Old. The site is for original stories, commentary and memory, not a downloads archive.
